Mitch Gasborro

Hitting & Infield  (Regular & Junior Lessons)

Mitch grew up in Glen Ellyn, a western suburb of Chicago and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in Lisle until 8th grade.  After that, Mitch chose to attend Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn.  There, he excelled at baseball, earning the starting SS position on Varsity as a Sophomore.  During Senior year, he was voted Conference MVP, All-Area, and All-State.

Mitch went on to play NCAA Division-1 baseball at Eastern Illinois University.  There, he worked hard to be named a starter for the vast majority of his career at EIU.  Mitch prides himself in knowing details of every position.  Typically, he was the regular SS or 2B, but he has playing experience at all positions in the infield & outfield.  During college summers, he was invited to play in The Northwoods League, The Prospect League, and The Midwest Collegiate League.

Mitch started 148 games for EIU, 52 games in the Northwoods League, 60 games in the Prospect League, and 30 games in the MCL.  At EIU, Mitch racked up 37 doubles, 2 triples, 6 homeruns, and 23 stolen bases over his career.  He was named an All-Star SS in the Prospect League.  He played with high-round draft picks and current MLB Players in the Northwoods League.  Combined, Mitch batted over .300 for several seasons and has a career Fielding Percentage of .960%.

Some of Mitch’s favorite memories of baseball have been playing on ESPN in front of 15,000 fans at University of Arkansas & Mississippi State.  At the current age of 24, he has been doing private lessons, baseball camps, and group instruction since 2016.  Mitch explains both the mental and physical skills needed for success in baseball.

Mitch’s teaches hitting that stresses core-strength, leg-stability, controlled-explosiveness, and pitch-timing with his customers because he feels those are the difference makers between average players & good players.  Mitch’s teaches the same fielding drills & techniques used by the pros today.  He uses a good amount of video analysis and has found that to be extremely beneficial to his customers.  Mitch looks forward to giving back to the community and helping kids build confidence in their lives.
